Mit SharePoint Online bietet Microsoft eine leistungsfähige Cloud-Infrastruktur für den Betrieb von SharePoint-Lösungen an. Vor allem zur Gewährleistung der guten Verfügbarkeit dieser Infrastruktur müssen SharePoint-Lösungen hier besondere Anforderungen erfüllen, die für lokale ("on premise") Installationen nicht existieren. Alle SC&P-SharePoint-Lösungen sind "cloud-ready" - können also ohne Anpassungen auf SharePoint Online eingesetzt werden.
