CONFOR: Functionality
The functionality of the CONFOR-based systems is very similar to that of vehicle configurators – but it is possible to set up products of any complexity. In most configuration scenarios it is necessary at the start of the configuration process that a selection is made on the general product type (comparable with the vehicle model of a car configuration). Afterwards one has to establish basis parameters like for example in respect to the required performance or limitations of the overall size. Now the user is taken through the set up of the products components with assistance. CONFOR automatically creates the respective item list and determines costs and sale prices. The provided product logic is constantly checked so that no components are selected that don’t match each other. When the set up is completed it is possible to
- transfer the design result to an online shop system
- create an offer
- create an order
Configuration, offer and order data can be directly passed onto any desired ERP or inventory control system.
